Model setup checks memory and available storage. Performance depends on your processor, model and library size. A smaller basic model is also available for lower-resource PCs.
Included software and optional dependencies
- Included in the Windows installer: Python and the desktop runtime; CustomTkinter/Tk; PDFium, pikepdf and pypdf for PDF work; Pillow for images; python-docx, openpyxl and python-pptx for documents; Windows integration and local encryption libraries. You do not need to install Python separately.
- Local AI: guided downloads of the llama.cpp engine and a compatible GGUF model, with Gemma text and image models available. The model runs on your PC.
- OCR: Tesseract and its bundled language data process document text locally; no cloud OCR account is required.
- Email: classic Microsoft Outlook must be installed and configured for Outlook integration. The new Outlook app is not supported by that integration. Gmail is disabled in this public release.
- Chrome PDF tools: optional Chrome 151 or later, with the bundled extension installed through the app’s guided setup.

Credentials stay on your PC
Desktop credentials and connection tokens are stored locally, with Windows protection used for sensitive stored credentials. Connected email still uses your existing email provider and its own storage.
Cloud AI is completely optional
Premium keeps Local AI available and adds the choice of managed cloud AI. Only when you approve a cloud request is the selected prompt and supporting content sent for processing. Local AI never silently switches to cloud processing.
An optional Ingenious account, billing, licensing, support requests and cloud usage records are handled online. Cloud providers process content you choose to send under their applicable policies. This is separate from the local storage of your files and desktop credentials.

How to verify your download
Right-click the installer, choose Properties → Digital Signatures, and check for Ingenious, LLC. To calculate its SHA-256, open PowerShell in your Downloads folder:

What happens if I cancel?
Cancellation preserves access through your paid-through date. Activate Search during paid membership to register it permanently: registered local workflows remain unlimited after ordinary expiry. Monthly actions and cloud features requiring active Premium stop. Unregistered Free use remains available with daily allowances.
Included cloud actions are used first and do not roll over. Optional $4.50 packs of 50 Search actions never expire and are never purchased automatically. Saved packs remain for your next active subscription.
Payment recovery on the same subscription preserves its price. After termination, a new subscription uses the current offer. Full refunds or payment reversals remove benefits funded solely by that payment.
After checkout, sign in to Ingenious Search with the same email. Access restores automatically, or choose License → Refresh Subscription Status. Manage Premium.

- - Search Email: emails show as they arrived in your inbox. The From and To columns show who sent each email to your inbox and who received it, and the Date is when it arrived. Sorting, the From/To filters and the Date from/Date to filters use the same values. To see a forwarded email's original sender and recipient instead, choose Settings > Forwarded Emails > Original Sender and Recipient, or Original Sender, Recipient and Date to also date it by when it was first sent.
- - Search Email: every Outlook email gets its date. An earlier version stored many Outlook emails without the date they arrived, so the Date column was empty for them. - - PDF Center: selecting text, a picture, a signature, a form field or a drawing now shows a small bar of tools right beside it. Drag the anchor to move the object, or use Copy, Paste, Delete and Draw. Text also gets Edit, Font (family, size and color), Bold, Italic and Underline; pictures only get the tools that apply to a picture. The bar sits next to the object, never on top of it or its corner handles, and steps out of the way while you drag.
- - Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy and paste objects on the page, text copied in another program pastes as new text, and right-clicking the page offers Paste Here.
- - Draw lets you draw on a PDF with the mouse. Reset clears the drawing so you can try again, Undo takes back the last stroke, and Done adds it as one drawing you can move, copy or delete. The drawing bar stays out of the area you are drawing in.

- - Find Files: Filename contains now looks for each word you type, anywhere in the name and in any order, and a word also finds its other forms: "voda price" finds "VODA Cleaning Price List 2025.docx" and "Voda Pricing.pdf". Put words in quotes to keep them together as a phrase. When no file name has every word, Find Files lists the names that come closest and says so, instead of finding nothing. Filename doesn't contain leaves out names with any of the words you list.
- - A Find Files search limited to file types the index holds only some of is now answered from the index too, with Also Scan Disk for the rest.
- - Once you sign in, Ingenious Search keeps you signed in. A brief problem at the sign-in service, such as a busy moment or an outage, used to sign you out for good; now the app simply tries again later. If you were signed out, sign in once more after updating.
- - Outlook Index updates and messages sent through classic Outlook always finish: closing the app's connection to Outlook can no longer make the app stop responding, and the app no longer pauses for a moment at the end of each Outlook update or Send.
- - The PDF viewer has a Fill Form Automatically button: it opens the form in the PDF Center editor and starts filling it in from your saved answers straight away. A form with no fillable fields has its blanks found first.

Questions, answered
Do I need an account to start?
No. Install and use Free immediately. Sign in through the hosted email-code flow to subscribe and restore purchases.
What counts toward the daily Free limits?
Reopening a PDF for editing starts a session. Dedicated viewing starts a viewing session; embedded previews do not. Completed searches, including zero results and successful follow-up questions, count across all search tabs. An organization operation counts when it changes files. Failures do not count; saving, undo and recovery remain available. Counters reset at local midnight.
Does Word have a separate daily quota?
No separate Word quota is introduced. PDF operations opened from any entry point still use the PDF limits.
Where does AI processing happen?
Free AI stays on your PC. Guided Local AI installation helps select a suitable model. When subscribed, you can deliberately use managed Ingenious AI, which sends the selected prompt and supporting content to our AI service and its model providers. It never silently replaces Local AI with cloud processing.
Can I keep using the app while longer tasks run?
Yes. Many time-consuming tasks now run in the background, including Local AI downloads, picture indexing, update checks and support submissions. You can close the Local AI setup window and continue using the main app while the download progresses. Downloads can be paused and resumed. Screens are also prepared while the app is idle for smoother navigation.
Can I find a picture without knowing its filename?
Yes. After Local AI picture-search setup and indexing, describe what the picture shows, such as mountains and a lake. Find Anything searches the visual content on your PC, previews matching pictures and explains the matches.
Does Music Organizer change my original songs?
The reviewed organization workflow creates copies with your chosen folder layout, file names and corrected tags. Originals stay unchanged, and Undo Copies removes the copies created by that operation. Local tools can read tags and filename clues; optional Local AI helps interpret unclear names. Review uncertain suggestions before approving them.
How do I install the Chrome PDF extension?
Open Chrome PDF Extension setup in Settings. Ingenious Search prepares the bundled extension and guides you through loading it in Chrome 151 or later. It is a guided local installation, not a Chrome Web Store download.
How does the introductory price work?

Gmail is disabled in this public release. Classic Outlook search is available; the new Outlook app is not the classic Outlook integration.

Use Manage billing in your account. Access continues through the paid-through date. Search activated while paid stays permanently registered with unlimited non-cloud workflows; monthly actions and active-Premium cloud features stop at expiry. Purchased actions remain saved for a future active subscription. Software updates stay free. Refund requests and receipts are available through Ingenious Tools.
Which apps are included in my Premium membership?
Subscribe once and use your monthly Ingenious Premium actions across eligible Ingenious apps. Install and sign in while your paid membership is active to register each eligible app permanently. If your membership ends, those apps stay registered; your monthly actions and features requiring active Premium stop. Ingenious Search is available now. Ingenious Notifications and Ingenious Voice are coming soon.
