- - PDF Center: selecting text, a picture, a signature, a form field or a drawing now shows a small bar of tools right beside it. Drag the anchor to move the object, or use Copy, Paste, Delete and Draw. Text also gets Edit, Font (family, size and color), Bold, Italic and Underline; pictures only get the tools that apply to a picture. The bar sits next to the object, never on top of it or its corner handles, and steps out of the way while you drag.
- - Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy and paste objects on the page, text copied in another program pastes as new text, and right-clicking the page offers Paste Here.
- - Draw lets you draw on a PDF with the mouse. Reset clears the drawing so you can try again, Undo takes back the last stroke, and Done adds it as one drawing you can move, copy or delete. The drawing bar stays out of the area you are drawing in.

- - Find Files: Filename contains now looks for each word you type, anywhere in the name and in any order, and a word also finds its other forms: "voda price" finds "VODA Cleaning Price List 2025.docx" and "Voda Pricing.pdf". Put words in quotes to keep them together as a phrase. When no file name has every word, Find Files lists the names that come closest and says so, instead of finding nothing. Filename doesn't contain leaves out names with any of the words you list.
- - A Find Files search limited to file types the index holds only some of is now answered from the index too, with Also Scan Disk for the rest.
- - Once you sign in, Ingenious Search keeps you signed in. A brief problem at the sign-in service, such as a busy moment or an outage, used to sign you out for good; now the app simply tries again later. If you were signed out, sign in once more after updating.
- - Outlook Index updates and messages sent through classic Outlook always finish: closing the app's connection to Outlook can no longer make the app stop responding, and the app no longer pauses for a moment at the end of each Outlook update or Send.
- - The PDF viewer has a Fill Form Automatically button: it opens the form in the PDF Center editor and starts filling it in from your saved answers straight away. A form with no fillable fields has its blanks found first.
- - When you open a form with Open PDF / Word, Ingenious Search asks whether to fill it in automatically, and whether it should learn from the answers you give in it. If you say yes to learning, each time you save the form its answers are remembered, encrypted on this computer, so the same blanks in other forms can be filled in for you.
- - The main button of every screen is now green, so the one to press stands out.

- - Find Files searches by filename now look in your shared index and answer in about a second, even on hundreds of thousands of files. Before, a filename search with no file type chosen skipped the index whenever it had been built for only some file types, and went through every folder on your drives instead, which could take many minutes.
- - The index is also used while it is being updated, and only folders that aren't in the index are scanned on disk. When your index holds only some file types, the result says so and an Also Scan Disk button looks through every other type as well.
- - Files now appear in the Find Files list as soon as they are found, instead of only when the search finishes or is stopped, and you can open or right-click them while the search goes on.
- - Long status messages in Find Files wrap to the width of the search column instead of being cut off.

- - Ingenious Search no longer closes by itself after being open for a couple of hours. Each minute, when it checked your licence, it also set its window icon again, and Windows kept a little drawing memory each time that was never given back; after about two hours Windows refused it any more and the app closed. The icon is now set once.
- - Right-click a file in Find Files or Find Anything to open it, open it with another program, open the folder it is in, copy it to the clipboard (ready to paste into a folder, an email or a chat), copy its path or name, rename it, move or copy it, delete it to the Recycle Bin or see its Windows properties. Ctrl+C copies the selected files, F2 renames and Delete sends them to the Recycle Bin.
- - Right-click an email in Search Email to open it in Outlook or Gmail, reply, reply all or forward in Outlook's own window (with your Outlook signature) or in Ingenious Search, copy or save its attachments, or copy its subject, sender's address or text. The attachment list has its own menu with Open With and Copy.
- - The PDF viewer has a Show in Folder button that opens File Explorer with the PDF selected.
- - Ingenious Search opens on the screen you were using last, even when Windows restarted or signed you out while it was open.

- - Outlook Index updates read only the email that arrived since the last update. They used to look at every email in every folder again: about 20 minutes on a mailbox of 188,000 emails to add a couple of hundred new ones. The same daily update now finishes in about 7 seconds, and the progress list shows how many emails were checked, how many are new and how many were already indexed.
- - Files Index updates save only the files that are new or changed, so an update with nothing new takes about half as long.
- - The window always appears when Ingenious Search starts. On a slow or busy first start it could stay invisible for half a minute, or not appear at all; the first-run setup now opens once the window is on screen.
- - The app says one consistent thing about your account. If your sign-in has ended it says "Signed out" and offers to sign in again, which restores Ingenious Premium, and the Settings menu shows the account you are signed in to.
- - The Control Center shows one price for Ingenious Premium ($9/month or $72/year) and the limited-time offer of $5/month, with a clearer comparison chart.

- - Closing the app is instant: the window disappears at once.
- - New in Organize Files: Find & Remove Duplicates. It looks through the source folder one category at a time for exact copies, MP3s with the same audio, and look-alike pictures and documents. Duplicates are moved into a duplicate_<Category> folder instead of being deleted, and Put Back returns them.
